  Easy 5-Step Application Instructions

   

  This product is designed for “in-place” cleaning and conditioning of your carburetor, making it easy to perform a quick tune-up without removal.

  Important: Perform this procedure outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. DO NOT smoke or use near any open flame or sparks.

   

  What You Will Need

   

  • ACDelco Carburetor Tune-Up Conditioner
  • Safety goggles and protective gloves

   

  The Cleaning Process

   

  1. Warm Up Engine: Run the engine until it reaches its normal operating temperature, then shut off the ignition.
  2. Access Carburetor: Carefully remove the air cleaner assembly to expose the carburetor throat (venturi).
  3. Spray & Run: Restart the engine and run it at a medium idle (approx. 750 RPM).
     • Spray the entire can of conditioner directly into the carburetor’s throat, making sure to hit the choke plate, throttle plate, and shafts. The engine speed may reduce to 400-500 RPM—this is normal.
  4. Soak: Turn off the ignition immediately after the can is empty and let the engine stand for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the penetrating agents to dissolve deposits.
  5. Finish: Restart the engine. Open and close the throttle rapidly for about 2 minutes to clear out the dissolved deposits. The engine should now run noticeably smoother.
  6. Reinstall: Turn off the engine and replace the air cleaner assembly.
